R: R = qx BW R = Nominal radius around which the belt can be guided.

The middle bracket is attached exactly in the middle in the tire. SPECIAL: By mounting the bracket off-center in the tire, the deflection radius R can be adapted to specific requirements within certain limits.

Due to the many meters of belt, the varying product load and temperature variation, every spiral tower is equipped with a facility to compensate for belt length differences. This is often done by means of one or more "tension loops" where the belt can lengthen and shorten.
